Hennesy Skippers Club
During the Americas Cup Jubilee event in 2001, the boathouse was rented by Louis Vuitton. It was decorated with great style, and named the Hennessy Skippers Club. It was used by the J Class association for their AGM and dinner. Amongst the displays, was the special auction item: a cabinet holding 31 bottles of Eau de Vie cognac distilled in every year of an Americas cup match. This was bought at an auction for the RNLI for £310,000 by Bill Koch, himself a cup winner. The auction was held in Osborne House by Phillips Auctioneers: part of the Louis Vuitton group.
The pictures show the different configurations for the room: as a comfortable club, inside and outside, or as a dinner venue
During the week we rented to roof area to Linn Products, Boodles and Notre Voie.
